Where I have worked

I’m a product manager. I started in research and development, then led teams and delivered across a whole company. Today I manage IoT products: the connected devices and the software and data behind them.

Anticimex is modernizing traditional pest management with connected devices. I own IoT products there from discovery to end of life, including the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the IoT offering. Before anything gets built, I test whether it is valuable and viable through user tests and prototypes, alongside hardware, firmware, digital and biology teams. I also work to make the devices more cost-efficient and easier to run in the field. What technicians have taught me so far: few things matter more than avoiding unnecessary work orders caused by misinterpreted data or faulty signals.

    Achievements so far

    • Finished the launch of SMART Box 7, the newest generation of multi-catch traps. It brought stronger cybersecurity and operational catch improvements through firmware and hardware developments. I ran HyperCare, the support stage right after launch, managing communications, interviewing key stakeholders and users for feedback and keeping the overall KPI design for both launch and maintenance.

Product Manager, Monitoring & Alarm Chain

I led the development for the alarm chain in Technology North, as part of its Executive Management team. That chain is every system between a sensor going off and an operator deciding what to do. The platform handled over 200,000 signals and alarms a day across Northern Europe. The work covered the business systems, security tech and products and services portfolios. I worked with DevOps teams and stakeholders to match the product vision to business needs in the Nordics, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.

    Achievements

    • Launched the Timestamps Report in Power BI to improve alarm diagnostics at every stage of the chain.
    • Drove Advanced Monitoring. Alarms were prioritized by fixed rules and operator judgment, so in stressful moments urgent alerts could wait behind low-risk ones. The new system uses LLMs trained on our historical alarm data to rate each alarm’s risk from its time, region, weather and sensor inputs. It was in rollout when I moved to Anticimex.
    • Led the company-wide EN 50136 certification audit in 2023. We were certified with no issues.

I led projects building hardware and software upgrade kits for obsolete components. With the Obsolescence team of nine, I decided what to do with each product at risk: a final stock buy, a bridge buy, an upgrade kit, or closing it. As Team Leader I ran the company-wide Obsolescence Network, which made those calls for every portfolio.

    Achievements

    • Led the Flexbox 6 Upgrade Kit and delivered it before the old parts ran out, so over 800 machines across Europe kept running on Tetra Pak packaging material.
    • Added a gate to the product development process: no design passed without answering its sustainability questions.

    Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery

Project Manager, April 2016 to May 2018

    R&D Designer, January 2015 to February 2016

As Project Manager I ran R&D projects in product development, coordinating engineering, procurement, sales and manufacturing to bring in new technology. In Service Engineering I managed planned and unplanned maintenance of Siemens equipment (SGT-800 mainly) for the Middle East and Latin America, choosing the right hardware, instrumentation, spare parts and tools for each customer with system designers and sales managers. As Designer I engineered an electro-mechanical experimental setup with the R&D and Instrumentation departments for my M.Sc. thesis, including performance calculations, design modeling and structural analysis, and stayed on as a consultant after graduating to support the conclusion of the project.

    Achievements

    • Siemens patented my M.Sc. thesis design due to its uniqueness.
    • Represented R&D Service in the Scrum of Scrums during sprints.
