Anticimex is modernizing traditional pest management with connected devices. I own IoT products there from discovery to end of life, including the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the IoT offering. Before anything gets built, I test whether it is valuable, viable, usable and feasible, with experiments, prototypes and user tests alongside hardware, firmware, digital and lab teams. I also work to make the devices cheaper and easier to run in the field, with less waste.

• Finished the launch of SMART Box 7, the newest generation of multi-catch traps. It brought stronger cybersecurity, plus improvements to the trap cycle, firmware and technician experience. I ran hypercare, managing communication and interviewing key stakeholders and users for feedback, and own the maintenance releases and product improvements since.

I led hardware and software development for the alarm chain in Technology North, as part of its Executive Management team. Technology North handled over 200,000 signals and alarms a day across Northern Europe. The work covered security tech, products and services, and the business portfolio. I worked with DevOps teams and stakeholders to match the product vision to business needs in the Nordics, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.

• Launched the Timestamps Report in Power BI to improve alarm diagnostics at every stage of the chain.
• Drove Advanced Monitoring. Alarms were prioritized by fixed rules and operator judgment, so in stressful moments urgent alerts could wait behind low-risk ones. The new system uses LLMs trained on our historical alarm data to rate each alarm’s risk from its time, region, weather and sensor inputs. It was in rollout when I moved to Anticimex.
• Led the company-wide EN 50136 certification audit in 2023. We were certified with no issues.

I led modernization projects for obsolete components, building upgrade kits in hardware and software with engineering, business development, procurement and legal. I managed the product lifecycle across product portfolios with the Obsolescence team of nine: project managers, administrators and OEM supply managers. For each product at risk, we chose between a last-time buy, a bridge buy and an upgrade kit. When there was no business case, we closed the product and customers moved to a newer one. From 2021, as Team Leader, I ran the company-wide Obsolescence Network.

• Built the Flexbox 6 Upgrade Kit for an installed base across Europe. The last-time buy of old parts was running out, so customers faced a full stop with no support possible, and replacing the machines was very expensive. The hardware and software kit kept the machines running on Tetra Pak packaging material, which is the company’s business model.
• Moved sustainability into design-stage decisions. The product development process changed to include it.

As Project Manager I ran R&D projects in product development, coordinating engineering, procurement, sales and manufacturing to bring in new technology. In service engineering I handled planned and unplanned maintenance of Siemens equipment for the Middle East and Latin America, choosing the right hardware, instrumentation, spare parts and tools for each customer with system designers and sales managers. As R&D Designer I designed an electro-mechanical experimental setup with the R&D and Instrumentation departments for my M.Sc. thesis, including performance calculations, design modeling and structural analysis, and stayed on as a consultant after graduating.

• Siemens patented my thesis design.
• Represented R&D Service in the Scrum of Scrums.
• Delivered product increments for the new SGT-800 turbine.
